Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is an international law firm with over 1,300 attorneys and 20 offices worldwide. We seek a highly motivated Analyst/Programmer to join our team to support the Knowledge Management Group by maintaining systems for legal forms and precedent libraries, implementing and maintaining legal practice group specific document management systems, managing intranet content and creating, implementing and maintaining Tableau visualizations and reports. The individual in this role will coordinate various projects related to technology and process-related solutions and initiatives to support our KM Group. At times, s/he will act as a liaison between attorneys and support staff to execute on KM goals.
Primary responsibilities are:
- Responsible for designing/developing database-driven business solutions for the KM Group. System development will be accomplished using a wide range of applications and tools, such as Microsoft products (.Net, MS SQL, and SharePoint) as well as Tableau and other applications.
- Assist in the management and support of KM initiatives, ongoing projects, programs and asses and track usage and help develop standards for assessing KM tools
- Work with our IS team to maintain and support existing internal SharePoint websites and applications, designing and implementing improvements to various systems, and integrating and customizing third-party software within our existing application environment.
- Communicate with stakeholders regarding project status and outcomes.
- Support the day-to-day operations of the firm’s KM tools, including maintaining databases, content repositories, intranet content, and other system applications that the KM group utilizes.
- Administers, maintains, configures and supports our Tableau Server environment.
- Design, develop and implement business defined reports and visualizations.
- The ability to utilize large data sets to find opportunities for process optimization and investigating insights.
- Develop and support workflows/processes using a variety of applications such as Tableau, K2, IntApp Integrate, and MS SQL server.
- Mine and analyze data from firm databases to drive optimization and improvement of practice group workflows and business strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for an experienced Analyst/Programmer with well-rounded project management and communication skills. Technical skills should include:
- .NET, SharePoint, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET
- Microsoft SQL Server, including SSIS and SSRS
- Tableau Server
- Data Analytics/Machine Learning/R experience
- Experience with iManage and SharePoint
- Experience with Workflow processes/automation and Aderant Classic would be a plus
EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years as an applications Analyst/Programmer
- BS degree in a computer related field or equivalent experience
- Prior work with a legal or other professional services firm is preferred
- Experience with Knowledge Management a plus
- Ability to work efficiently with all levels of management
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Self-motivated, inquisitive, and detail oriented
- A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects at the same time while working effectively within a team environment
